A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of second shooting Lizzie & Simon’s vintage tea party wedding for Kathryn of Kathryn Andrews Photography. I’d been told that it was going to be a day stuffed to the brim with gorgeous details…. and WOW. Was it ever! From the mis-matched vintage crockery to the homemade (impressed much!?) heart-shaped rainbow coloured sugar cubes, everything was just breathtakingly lovely. That kind of care and love really speaks volumes and though I didn’t know the bride or groom before stepping into that marquee, by the end of the day I really got the feeling that there wasn’t a single thing there that wasn’t entirely them.
I could tell you about the beautiful little country church that had daisies running riot around it, or the croquet and ice-cream on the lawn, or even the horse-drawn trap that took Lizzie & Simon from the church to the reception…but I think I’ll just let the photos do the talking!
Now, aren’t these colours just perfect for an English summer wedding?
Homemade heart-shaped pastel-rainbow sugar cubes! Gorgeous!
Lizzie’s dress was absolutely breathtaking and it suited her so well.
And how about the incredible vintage veil?
A big thank you to Kathryn for having me along to second shoot with her, it was so much fun and I’m really grateful for the opportunity. Also a massive thank you to Lizzie and Simon for their generosity and hospitality. Not only did they let me share their special day with them, but I was lucky enough to enjoy the gorgeous tea party spread…they even had me on the table plan! How lovely is that? I really wish you guys a lifetime of happiness together.
For more photos, check out Kathryn’s blog. This super lovely wedding was SO super lovely, it’s also been featured on Rock n Roll Bride so have a squiz there too!
