WEDDING // Michelle & Nick’s Laid Back London Wedding

ST ETHELREDAS LONDON WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Man oh man, I loved this London wedding. It was super laid back, gorgeous to look at and an absolute blast to shoot.  I turned up to The Rookery where Michelle was getting ready, and immediately fell in love with (a) her choice of dress (retro, 50s style Candy Anthony) and (b) her choice of shoe (snakeskin, Louboutin).  Epic combination, I think you’ll agree?

Michelle herself looked pretty blimmin’ amazing.  LOVED the hair!

The ceremony was in St Etheldredas in Holborn.  I’d never shot there before and was blown away by the incredible stained glass windows.  Don’t you love that about churches? How sometimes you barely notice them from the outside, and from the inside they’re just breathtaking?!
Guests popped down to the Bleeding Heart pub down the road for some bubbly, before the reception in the Crypt of the church.

Thanks to Sebastien Dehesdin for seconding on this one, and a big, BIG thank you to Michelle and Nick for having us along.  It was so much fun to shoot your wedding and you guys couldn’t be more welcoming and brilliant to work with!!  Hope you had an incredible honeymoon and I know you guys are going to have an amazing future together xxx

Kat did an absolutely fantastic job for us – as you can see by the pictures. She got all the moments that counted, as well as lots of extra ones that I missed on the day – and there was never a moment’s fuss.

A few friends told us that their main regret at their weddings were being disappointed by the pictures, so we are so happy that ours have come out so well. When we got them through it was like reliving the wedding all over again!

Festive Friday Fave // Just Another Festive Mix Tape

Christmas Mix Tape, Retro radio

Today I’m editing, snug indoors from the rain and grey outside.   The fairy lights are twinkling away on the mantlepiece and I’m pretty sure I’ve eaten tomorrow’s advent chocolate but hey, who’s counting?

I popped a few of my favourite Christmas songs on to a Spotify playlist and I thought I’d share them with you in case you needed an injection of festive cheer!

So tell me, what’s your favourite Christmas song?  I think mine might be O Holy night, but I can’t find a non-cheesy version. If anyone can point me in the direction of one, I’ll love you forever.

WEDDINGS // SELENA & JAMES’ BEAUTIFUL DEVON WEDDING

Bit of a grim Monday morning isn’t it?  Well here’s a little something gorgeous to brighten up your day.

It wouldn’t be an overstatement to say I’d been really looking forward to this wedding all year.  Selena and I used to work together in the City, what feels like a lifetime ago, but we’ve both since moved on to better things.  She now works for the Style department for Time Out Shanghai, so how could her wedding day be anything but perfectly stunning?  Mix in a healthy dollop of Devon sunshine and you get a pretty much perfect day.

Flowers were by Emma Vowles, and were some of the most unique and beautiful bouquets I’ve ever seen.

I think this is my favourite confetti shot of all time.
The reception was at Buckland Tout Saints Hotel and we took the opportunity to do a few couples photos there while there was good light. And what light. Magic.

I absolutely loved James’ speech, it was so lovely.
